Martin Parr   British | 1952–2025

Martin Parr was a British documentary photographer known for his photographic projects that take an intimate, satirical and anthropological look at aspects of modern life, in particular documenting the social classes of England, and more broadly the wealth of the Western world.

Rocket presented the first commercial London gallery exhibition of Martin Parrs photographs in 1997. Rocket collaborated with Parr on fourteen solo exhibitions during his lifetime and now exclusively represents his Estate in the United Kingdom – and internationally through close partnerships with other art galleries – selling the limited edition photographs from his Studio Archive.

Photographs by Martin Parr are held in numerous British public collections including: Tate Gallery, London; V&A London; The Hepworth, Wakefield; Arts Council of Great Britain; Government Art Collection. International collections include Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris; J Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Los Angeles County Museum; Australian National Gallery, Canberra.
